Freebie Friday...finally!

I think part (and I mean a SMALL part) of the reason that I haven't posted about all my freebie information yet, is because there is a lot to share and I guess I thought I had to post it all at once...but apparently that is not possible because of time constraints.

So I've decided to post little bits of info at a time. Here it goes...

Before I get into specific websites that you can join, I will say this:
you may want to have a second email address (and Facebook, too, if you do "social network" sites).

When signing up for freebies and coupons, you will get somewhat frequent email messages that notify you about deals and free stuff. I have learned that it is in my best interest to have one email address for personal messages and another address for freebie/coupon sites. But remember to check your freebie/coupon email often because sometimes sites only give out a certain number of freebies/samples/coupons, and THEY GO FAST!!!

That being said...

Vocalpoint is a site that focuses on freebies, deals, and opinion sharing about P&G products. It is a site just for moms (sorry Bro!). After signing up, you can receive email notifications about available free samples and coupons for you and friends:) And then you have the opportunity to share your opinion about the products you try (but you don't have to). The site encourages sharing information and coupons with friends and so without much ado...

Here's a link that you can click on to recieve savings on Mots For Tots juice!

www.vocalpoint.com/mottsfortots

I have to admit that I have not yet tried this product but we do enjoy regular Motts juice and applesauce, so I'm sure it will be good. I'll have to let you know after our free sample arrives:)

Anyway, that's all I'll share for today. I'll try to fill you in on another freebie site soon!

Thankful Thursday...on Thursday:)

Let's see where was I...

Oh yes, # 31...and this one is HUGE!

31. Parents/Family that are there for us NO MATTER WHAT

32. Coming to the realization that NO ONE has it ALL together

33. A little bit of sunshine after a whole week full of rain and clouds

34. Waking up to quiet, whispering children's voices:)

35. A roly poly 19 month old walking/bouncing (and falling) on the trampoline

36. Seeing "the wheels turning" as a child works to figure something out

37. Getting "freebies" in the mail

38. Multitudes of soaps: dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, hand (foam) soap, bar soap, body wash (cleaning everything but our souls:)

39. The musical howling of the wind through a barely open window

40. Reliable transportation

41. An " I love you, Momma" shouted from the kitchen

42. Silas wearing a too-big jersey with jeans

43. Swiftly moving grey clouds full to bursting with rain, ready any moment to let loose

44. A praise song stuck in my head--helping me stay in an attitude of joyful praise ALL DAY

45. Having acquired the ability to do just about any task one-handed (with a baby on the hip)

May you be blessed by noticing (and giving thanks for) God's abundant blessings that surround you today!

Livin' On A Prayer

Yes, I'm just being dramatic. And besides, who can resist adding Bon Jovi to the list of my quirky blog titles...clearly not me. Anyway, I'm getting side tracked...

It's summer...

Five children, ages 7 to 20 months...

Last week, I spent hours trying to develop a new weekly schedule to help us avoid absolute chaos over the next few months. The teacher in me started taking over and I had calendar sheets and colorful markers and schedules flying everywhere. I even bought me a big ol' piece of poster board, so I could make a giant color-coded poster to hang on the wall for the children.
Yes, indeed.

But yet again, God reminds me that even though I might THINK that I can plan my way through every detail of summer, in order to achieve perfect peace in the Shoe household...He is actually in control of EVERYTHING and has a plan for our days, whether I agree with it or not:)

We've been dealing with a bit of illness, AGAIN. (Believe me when I say, I wish I was kidding.) And instead of working on learning Spanish or doing Brain puzzles, I've abandoned what I thought would be our schedule this week, in order to tend to this...

and this...

and don't forget this...

**Notice the Pop Tarts box and the Chef Boyardee pasta cans in the top photo? Not the picture of nutrition around here, are we?
To be honest, we just have to do what we can to make it through the day when one of the kiddos is sick.
And if that means a handful of sugar for breakfast and processed cans of pasta for lunch, then so be it.
Everything seems to fall apart around here when a little one is feeling yucky and needs Momma to comfort them all day.

I'm grateful that we made it through another round of blah, that the kiddos are starting to feel better, and that I'm sitting in a relatively clean living room with a few spare minutes to blog:)

Maybe God has our new summer schedule in His plan for next week:)

The heart of man plans his way,
but the LORD establishes his steps.

Some days are better than others...

I felt a little like this today...

Praying for a better tomorrow:)
